The NordicTrack a2750 Pro is similar to a lot of new treadmills on the market, similar in the fact it uses the latest in iFit technology – iFit Live. You can do a variety of things with it including syncing trails and routes with Google Maps, track and log results, workout with Jillian Michaels (the Biggest Loser trainer), get customized exercise routines, and even race with your friends on Facebook and more. There’s many treadmills now that take advantage of iFit technology, but how does the a2750 pro treadmill score on its other features? Find out in my NordicTrack a2750 Pro review below….

My Review of the NordicTrack a2750 Pro

The NordicTrack a2750 pro is a heavy, well built, sturdy treadmill that includes ample features. These include a built in sound system and iPod docking station, handlebar heart rate sensors, a simple to use but robust touch screen display, ample different pre determined programs including weight loss, distance programs, advanced aerobic and more; a roomy 20″ x 60″ running belt, 12 degree incline, and an extra cushioned platform for some added comfort.

The launch of the iFit Live feature came in late 2008 and features Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser as your own personal fitness trainer. Train alongside Jillian with preset programs such as wellness workouts, distance runs such as 1mile, 2miles, 5miles, 1k, 5k, half marathon etc. The only drawback to this feature is you have to pay for the module unit which costs $50, then you have to subscribe to their iFit Live annual subscription, which can be quite costly.

If would seriously recommend opting for the iFit live module and subscription simply because of the motivation and focus it helps you maintain however, if you don’t feel sold on the idea don’t worry, the NordicTrack a2750 Pro has plenty of on board features already, more so than many other treadmills in its price range. The a2750 pro only comes with a 1 year warranty on part and labor, but that is so they can keep the price competitive. You can’t fault the quality of the materials used, after looking through umpteen customer reviews I can’t see any feedback about the parts failing.

  • 2.75 HP DurX™ Motor
  • 0-12 mph 1-Touch™ Speed
  • 0-12% 1-Touch™ Incline
  • 20″ x 60″ Quiet Tread Belt
  • ComfortShox™ Cushioning
  • Touch Screen Display
  • 22 Workouts
  • iFit® Live Compatible*
  • Compatible Music Port for iPod®
  • Intermix Acoustics™ 3.0 Sound System
  • CardioGrip™ Heart Rate Monitor
  • 350 lbs User Weight Capacity
  • SpaceSaver® Folding Design
  • Warranty: Lifetime motor & frame, 1-year parts and labor

At a RRP of $1599 you can definitely get it much cheaper, almost half the price in fact. The cheapest place I found online for a brand new NordicTrack a2750 pro was from Workout Warehouse for $999. For that price it stands right at the top for treadmills in terms of value, deck size, cushioning, power, noise, programs, and reliability. You shouldn’t have any problems judging from the feedback, but just to be sure I’d opt for the extended warranty for an extra $89. If you pay in full at Workout Warehouse you’ll also get free shipping too. Overall the Nordictrack a2750 pro is an amazing piece of equipment and ingenuity, and for a price of $999 you’d struggle to find many better.

  1. This is the best treadmill I have ever tried and I have tried lots. This is less expensive than other treadmills and it gave me the best value for my money. I have a variety of preset programs to choose from and I do not have to worry about a single thing because the speed of the treadmill and everything is automatically adjusted.

I love the touch screen technology of the console too. I can easily monitor my progress and switch from one program to another without problems. The iFit Live gives me the chance to download some of the best workouts from Jillian Michaels. Not only did I get a treadmill when I bought this, I also got a nutrition and activity tracker.

I also receive motivating emails and text messages. One of the features which I like most is Google Maps. It is totally insane. I just plug in roads or trails from Google maps and the treadmill will simulate the terrain by making some adjustments. This is a highly recommended treadmill.
