What do you do when you are already in good shape and want to get in even better shape? Most people look for programs or products which can bring their level of fitness, strength and endurance to a higher level. There are lots of products out there which offer advanced training techniques and one of the best is [easyazon_link asin=”B005PO7ABI” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”homegymcritic-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]P90X2[/easyazon_link]. It is designed by the same people behind the highly successful P90X.

My Review of P90X2: The Next P90X DVD Series Base Kit

P90X2 is the result of two long years spent on research and development after the very successful P90X. P90X2 is introduced as very effective and is capable of producing nothing but amazing results. Its predecessor, P90X, is based on Muscle Confusion. On the other hand, the latest release, the P90X2, promises to up the ante through training techniques developed by no less than trainers for professional sports.

The exercises are focused on building balance; promoting agility, athleticism and core strength; and sculpting the entire body. The P90X2 emphasizes the agility, athletic function and the abs or core. Aside from groundbreaking exercises, there is also a comprehensive nutrition plan to help users. The nutrition plan has a section for vegans or people who want to go grain-free. There is a guide for supplements and information on how to get the best results from the program.

Workouts included in the system are X2 Core; Plyocide; X2 Recovery + Mobility; X2 Total Body; X2 Yoga; Balance + Power; Chest + Back + Balance; X2 Shoulders + Arms; Base + Back; P.A.P. Lower; P.A.P Upper; and the X2 Ab Ripper.

For people who want a quick lesson on the system, there is the Bring It Again video which will explain everything. Checking progress is very easy with the help of the workout calendar. Online peer support is designed to help users get in touch with each other.

Conclusion

This excellent exercise program is a great option for people who do not have the luxury and time of going to the gym or the money for gym membership. [easyazon_link asin=”B005PO7ABI” locale=”US” new_window=”default” nofollow=”default” tag=”homegymcritic-20″ add_to_cart=”default” cloaking=”default” localization=”default” popups=”default”]P90X2[/easyazon_link] will surely challenge you. It definitely lives up to its hype. However, people should only commit to this program if they are already in great shape but want to bring their fitness to the next level. Beginners or people who are in bad shape should choose easier exercise programs.

  1. The strength workouts are great. The ab workout is outstanding, however you will eventually want to add some variation with some of Tony Horton’s other ab workouts (like 1 on 1). For people who are not in good shape, or who have only been doing cardio (which was my case) the workouts can be difficult to get through for a few weeks, and some moves will require modification for some time.

  2. I enjoy doing p90x and now p90x2. I wish the basic program provided alternatives to plyo and yoga as I get tired of the same 2 workouts every week. Overall, it is a great fitness routine.
